Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat a variety of blood-related disorders, including but not limited to anemia, leukemia, lymphoma, clotting disorders, and hemophilia.
• Conduct patient consultations both in-person and via telemedicine, ensuring detailed and accurate hematological assessments.
• Perform or interpret diagnostic tests, including blood tests, bone marrow biopsies, and coagulation tests, as required by patient conditions.
• Prescribe appropriate treatments, including medications, transfusions, and supportive therapies.
• Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary medical team to ensure coordinated care for patients with complex hematologic needs.
• Participate in case discussions, peer consultations, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the hospital and clinic.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate patient records using our Health Management Information System (HMIS).
• Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to the growth of hematology services at Fitwell Hub.

Qualifications:

• MBBS with specialization in Hematology (FCPS, FRCS, or equivalent certification in Hematology).
• Valid PMDC/PMC registration.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a practicing Hematologist, with expertise in both diagnostic and therapeutic cases.
• Proficiency in telemedicine or willingness to adapt to telemedicine consultations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.

Key Skills:

• Expertise in managing various hematologic disorders, including blood cancers, anemias, and coagulation disorders.
• Skilled in diagnostic and therapeutic techniques such as blood transfusion management, bone marrow biopsies, and hematologic lab assessments.
• High attention to detail and diagnostic accuracy.
• Compassionate patient care approach with an emphasis on clear communication.
• Adaptability to telemedicine and remote patient care models.
